Privacy Policy

Last updated 14 October 2026

The Laminars (“we”, “us”) runs this website and provides coaching at P-188, Ground floor, Rameshwarpur Road, Kolkata-700024, and online 1-to-1 tutoring. This page explains what we collect when you use the website or contact us, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you send the enquiry form: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the course you are interested in and your message (optional). Please send it as a parent or guardian if the student is under 18.

When you call or WhatsApp us: your phone number and anything you choose to tell us. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy.

When you visit the website: our web host records standard technical details such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested, to run the site securely. If analytics is switched on, we also collect anonymous usage information (see Cookies and analytics).

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry and arrange a demo class or free trial session.
To plan and run classes, and to share progress with parents.
To understand which pages and adverts help families find us, so we can improve them.
To protect the website from spam and abuse.

We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with anyone for their own marketing.

Who receives it

Enquiries from the form are sent by email to The Laminars team only. We use a small number of service providers to run the website and our communication, and they handle data on our behalf:

Hostinger, our web host, which runs the website and sends the enquiry emails.
Google Fonts, which serves the fonts on this site. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.
Google Analytics, only if it is switched on and, where required, only after you agree.
WhatsApp, when you choose to message us there.

Cookies and analytics

The website itself does not need cookies to work. It keeps two small settings in your browser’s local storage: which hero picture you saw last (so the next visit shows a different one) and, if asked, your cookie choice.

If we switch on Google Analytics, it uses cookies to count visits and to tell us which pages, adverts and buttons lead to enquiries. Visitors in the UK, the European Union and the EEA are asked first, and analytics stays off unless they accept. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a student, in which case we keep what we need to teach you and to keep basic records. To stop spam, the website keeps a coded (hashed) version of the internet address a form was sent from, with the times it was sent, and uses it only to limit repeated submissions.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, or delete them, and you can ask us to stop contacting you. Email ../#contact and we will reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the UK GDPR may give you further rights.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top.
